Adeline is a born and bred Calgarian who graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Physical Education and Mount Royal College with a certificate in Massage Therapy. Formerly of the Calgary Winter Club, Adeline has been practicing massage therapy at our sister clinic, Northern Hills since 2007 and is registered with the MTAA.

Adeline has been influenced and inspired by numerous practitioners of the medical team from her days as a student athletic therapist with the U of C Dinos athletic teams. She continues to be inspired and learn from the amazing cadre of therapists that Breanne and Graham bring aboard.

Adeline does not do traditional massages. She utilizes a newer technique called RAPID NeuroFascialReset which is a neurologically based, active therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body. RAPID NFR is an evidenced based manual therapy technique to quickly and effectively eliminate pain.

When she is not working, Adeline enjoys yoga, hiking and camping with her dog, Rambo.

Kelsey is a born and raised Calgarian with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Masters in Physical Therapy. She grew up dancing, but was lucky enough to never need physiotherapy for any injuries. Instead, she was introduced to physiotherapy through her sports medicine teacher in grade 10 (thanks, Ms. Flo!), and decided to volunteer at her local physiotherapy clinic to find out what it was all about. Whatever she saw stuck because she’s been in the industry ever since. Kelsey has completed her Functional Dry Needling (FDN)/Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) for the Upper and Lower Body certification.

Kelsey started to develop an interest in women’s health a couple years into her practice when speaking to patients about the challenges of new motherhood, and on a whim decided to take a pelvic health course. She began to really enjoy learning about pelvic health and how it affects not only moms, but people across all genders, ages and different stages of life. She treats individuals with (but not limited to): incontinence, prolapse, dyspareunia, vaginismus, diastasis recti, endometriosis, coccydynia and vulvodynia. She has also taken additional courses in labour and birth preparation.

When she’s not treating patients she can be found doing one of her many (way too many) hobbies like bouldering, running, working out, reading or knitting.

I am the founder and owner of Northern Hills Sport Physiotherapy on Country Hills Blvd. I was initially interested in Physiotherapy, like a lot of other PT’s, after being treated for several injuries as a younger adult. The profession enticed me with the work environment. I found PT clinics to be a laid back environment to work in and an environment where the therapists were faced with a variety of challenging issues to deal with thus continuing to keep them on their toes and not allowing them to get bored with working on the same thing over and over. 19 years into my career I have found that I really enjoy my job, the social interaction, and being able to help individuals has been an added bonus.

I was trained in my hometown of Saskatoon at the U of S, yes I bleed green (Go Riders!!!) and furthered my skills with manual courses including being a Manipulative Therapist. I am a certified Gunn IntraMuscular Stimulation (IMS) Practitioner, which has been a huge asset to my practice. I emphasize client input to their rehab and educate them on anatomy, injury pathology, home programs, and ergonomics with regards to not only work but home and recreational activities. I find that the more involved a client is with their own rehab, the better they do in achieving and maintaining optimal health. In the end, it all adds up to being able to do what you love and being pain-free doing it, thus allowing you to enjoy it as much as possible.

I think this is my goal. I love work but I love to play even more. Mostly that is being able to hike, wakeboard, snowboard, mountain, motor and road bike, play hockey and horseplay at a level that my kids are pushing me to. As they get older I find that my years of being able to beat them at everything is limited and I plan on giving them a run for their money for years to come. As a result, my own rehab and maintenance are important and I practice what I preach for the most part and so far so good. So bring it on Joey, Ellie, and Sammy!

Owning a clinic has been a great challenge for me in the past 16 years. Business has been something that I have learned on the go and I have found that the saying, ‘you are only as good as your weakest link’ holds true. I know that Northern Hills Physiotherapy has been a great place for patients, and workers alike due to my success in staffing. I pride myself in this aspect and put a lot of emphases on whom I hire to ensure a great work environment and a great place for people to receive treatment. I hire high-level therapists, with personalities that fit our professional, relaxed and productive atmosphere. This has resulted in a culture that people like to work in and where clients get results!

As a graduate of the MScPT program from the University of Alberta, I have been fortunate to have surrounded myself with many amazing Health Care Practitioners and continue to do so amongst the amazing team of professionals at FixPhysio.

At FixPhysio, the line between lifestyle and career has become a blur as my passion for physiotherapy stems from a combination of wellness-fed hobbies and a strong desire to help others achieve their best. I have worn many hats- from being a group fitness instructor to a lifeguard, to a dance teacher, to conducting concussion-related tests on hockey players. I believe in evidence-based practice and that by being part of the research community, I am able to remain up to date on the newest treatment techniques and principles.

I have always been involved in team activities, and that is how I choose to base your treatment. We become a team. You share your background and your rehabilitation goals and I share my knowledge. Together, we progress you back to the activities that you enjoy. This creativity and teamwork within individualized treatment plans is a key principle to success. My background as a competitive dancer has enabled me to effectively ‘choreograph’ your treatment plan to best suit your needs and your unique lifestyle.

I enjoy treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries, vestibular conditions and am a Certified Complete Concussion Management Provider. Outside of the physio clinic, I enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and taking every opportunity to enjoy nature’s beauty. I find that running helps to clear my mind, and dancing makes my heart sing. My hope is that through treatment of your injury/condition, together we can get you back to what you love to do as well. I look forward to learning more about you!
